Akvaplan-niva’s research and advisory services contribute to responsible value creation and the sustainable management of water resources.
The company is built on the principle of knowledge-based advice and research to minimize negative impacts on climate and the environment.
This is embedded in the company’s strategy, the board’s priorities, and relevant certifications.
We use EcoVadis as a sustainability assessment platform. In 2024, we achieved a Bronze rating, placing us in the middle of the field among other RnD companies in Europe.
Memberships and Commitments
- UN Global Compact: The world's largest corporate sustainability initiative, where we commit to principles on human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption.
- Næring for klima (Business for Climate) in Tromsø: A local network for companies working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote green transition.
