Andrey Sikorski fra Akvaplan-niva er medforfatter av en ny bok om kalkrørsbyggende børstemark (Polychaeta, Serpulidae) i Polhavet. Arten er viktig i vurdering av miljøtilstand på hardbunn i fjære- og gruntvannsområder. En av børstemarkene som omtales i boka ble oppdaget i forbindelse Akvaplan-niva's arbeide med konsekvensutredning på Snøhvit og har fått navnet "Protis akvaplani". Boken er et resultat av et omfattende datamateriale og 35 års arbeide med disse artene gjennomført av bokas forfattere Sikorski, Rzhavsky og Kupriyanova.

Akvaplan-niva by Andrey Sikorski has contributed to a a taxonomic guide to serpulid polychaetes of the Arctic Ocean (including the subfamily Spirorbinae). Identification keys include 37 serpulid taxa, all of which are described and illustrated in colorful details. The book sums up the about thirty-five-year work of the authors (Rzhavsky in taxonomy of Spirorbinae, Kupriyanova in taxonomy of Serpulidae, Sikorski in taxonomy of arctic polychaeta) and based on extensive (over 600 samples) material collected all over the Arctic Ocean and deposited in Russia, Iceland, Germany, Norway, and Australia. This guide is intended for undergraduate and graduate students, educators and naturalists as well as invertebrate zoologists, marine ecologists, and environmental consultants.
