Last year, the Nansen Legacy set sail working for a more holistic understanding of the Arctic marine environment through the looking glass of the Barents Sea. Akvaplan-niva is involved in parts related to Russia in the project as well as in work on benthos. Akvaplan-niva is also coordinating the dialogue with the Nansen Legacy Reference Group.
